Local Las Vegas athletes ages 12-18 yo are invited to receive a free heart screening at the Hall of Fame Series in Las Vegas on Sunday, November 2nd. Every participant who completes the screening receives two (2) FREE upper level tickets & Heart of the Game t-shirt to the games at T-Mobile Arena, courtesy of our sponsors.

HOW TO REGISTER

Registration is quick and required to participate. Spots are limited to the first 500 athletes.

Click the button below and you’ll be redirected to the official Vegas For Athletes registration form. Select your desired time slot for your athlete’s heart screening. Tickets will be given out upon completion of the heart screening.

Once submitted, you’ll receive an auto-confirmation email with:

  • A unique QR code for event check-in.

  • Event details, including arrival time and location.

  • Ticket instructions (delivered after screening completion).

Advanced Heart Screenings with QT Medical

At our Heart of the Game event, we’ll be using the QT Medical 12-lead ECG device to conduct heart screenings for athletes. This state-of-the-art, FDA-cleared technology is designed to be portable, easy to use, and highly accurate, allowing medical professionals to quickly identify potential cardiac issues that might otherwise go undetected. The compact device connects seamlessly with a tablet or smartphone, delivering hospital-quality results in just minutes and helping us ensure the health and safety of every participant.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Check In

    Go to the Vegas For Athletes booth near the main entrance.

    Have your QR code from the confirmation email ready (digital or printed).

    Staff will confirm your waiver and check your selected time slot.

    If you arrive early, you’ll be asked to wait until your time slot is open before moving to the screening area.

  • Heart Screening

    Safe, non-invasive test (EKG or echocardiogram).

    Conducted by certified athletic trainers and medical professionals.

    Takes about 10–15 minutes per participant.

  • Game Time

    Once finished, your QR code will be scanned again to confirm completion.

    You’ll instantly receive two free tickets to the Hall of Fame Series games via email/text.

    Bonus: Athletes will receive a special co-branded t-shirt to wear during the game.

  • A heart screening is a simple, non-invasive test using an electrocardiogram (ECG) device to check for abnormal heart rhythms or structural issues that could put athletes at risk.

  • Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in young athletes during sports. Many conditions have no symptoms but can be detected with a quick ECG screening.

  • All athletes ages 10 to 18 are encouraged to be screened, regardless of health history or current fitness level.

  • Most screenings take about 5–10 minutes per athlete.

    • Dr. Richardo Samson, Pediatric Electrophysiologist from Nevada Children's Heart Center and/Or. Dr. Brittnay Navarre, Pediatric Electrophysiologist from Nevada Children’s Heart Center will overread the ECGs.

    • We will have the results back to you within 5 to 7 business days

  • Yes. The test is painless, non-invasive, and involves no needles, radiation, or exercise.

  • Parents/guardians must sign consent forms, but they do not need to be in the room during the screening.

    • Abnormal results are flagged immediately

    • A physician reviews the screening and may recommend follow-up testing (e.g., echocardiogram)

    • Families will be contacted with next steps

  • Vegas for Athletes provides screenings at no cost to families thanks to sponsors and donors.

  • It’s recommended to screen once a year, or sooner if there are new symptoms or changes in family history.

    • Completed registration form

    • Signed waiver/consent form from a parent/guardian

    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing (t-shirt preferred)

    • Avoid applying lotions or oils to the chest on screening day

    • Arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in
